Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
